About Me

Hi, I’m Trevor, aka TechTrev.
By day, I’m a Service Desk Analyst keeping systems running and people connected. By night, I’m a maker, tinkerer, and occasional destroyer of electronics and purveyor of unhinged projects (occasionally).

I started this blog to document my projects, share the cool things I come across, and create step-by-step guides for anyone who wants to follow along whether you’re a fellow hobbyist or just tech-curious.

You’ll find posts about DIY electronics, ESP32-based builds, home automation, self-hosting, and the strange but surprisingly satisfying art of blending gardening with technology. I write because I’ve been inspired countless times by other makers, and I hope to pay that forward, maybe sparking an idea or two for the next person in line.

I intend to write my posts with clear and easy to follow instructions without turning into an instruction manual.. or the incoherent ramblings of a madman. I like to explain what I’m doing, why I’m doing it, and what I learned along the way. Even if the project was an ultimate failure, there is always something to learn.

My approach to projects (and life) is simple: try it, expect to fail, and treat every setback as free education. Each misstep makes the eventual success that much sweeter.

So if you’re into DIY projects, gardening, and tech, you’ve come to the right place.

Thanks for reading,

-Trev
